Why I Care for the Elderly: A Story That Began at Home
There is a moment in life when caregiving stops being something you understand and becomes something you live . For me, that moment came as I and my sisters cared for our mother. As her health declined and cancer slowly took hold, our family faced the same reality so many families do—how do we care for someone we love deeply without taking away their dignity, independence, and sense of self? We are currently growing green peppers, spinach, carrots and tomatoes—nutritious staples that add both flavor and health to meals. These vegetables are often expensive and difficult for our elderly to grow themselves, so being able to provide them is a huge blessing. We’
