A New Chapter for Anitah — And a Brighter Future for Louise and Her Grandmother

Today, Anitah heads off to school once again—this time, nearing the end of her nursing journey and moving one step closer to becoming a Certified Licensed Midwife. We are so proud of everything she has overcome and all that she continues to achieve. Her story is one of determination, strength, and deep gratitude—for life, for learning, and for the sponsors who stood by her every step of the way.

Before leaving, Anitah spent time with our Saving Grace Team, visiting several elderly women in our community. She checked their vitals and offered them care and compassion, reminding us all how critical it is to care for those who once cared for others. The joy on the women's faces as Anitah gently examined and encouraged them was beautiful. It was dignity in action.

At The Angel Projects of America and The Angel Projects of Uganda, we are committed to ensuring that our elderly live lives full of dignity, care, and love—and we are so grateful to our supporters who make this possible.

Speaking of the Elderly... Meet

We’ve recently added another beautiful soul to our Elderly Project: Nyirankoko, the grandmother of 16-year-old Louise, one of the students in our education program.

Until now, Louise’s days began with a struggle—searching for wood, food, and water for her grandmother before making the long walk to school. She was often late. In the evenings, she’d return to fetch more firewood, cook, clean, and care for Nyirankoko—all before starting her homework, often in complete darkness because their home has no electricity.

Despite all this, Louise is doing better in school—her spirit is strong, her heart is determined, and her dream of finishing high school remains steadfast.

Our team met to discuss how we could support this resilient young girl and her dependent grandmother—and the solution was clear: add Nyirankoko to the Elderly Project.

Now, thanks to your support, our Angels visit Nyirankoko five days a week, bringing food, water, and firewood, and offering care, companionship, and love. They even assist with grooming and cleaning the home. In just two short weeks, the difference has been profound. Nyirankoko is smiling again. Louise now gets to school on time and finishes her homework before dark.

What's Next?

We hope to raise enough funds to install a solar light for Louise and Nyirankoko, just like we did for Caroline and Yudes. It's a small gift that makes a world of difference.
