It all started with a vision — and 500 baby chicks.
It’s hard to believe it’s already been a month since I arrived here in Rubuguri — so much has happened, and I’ve met so many inspiring people.
One afternoon, while walking through the village, we came upon the cutest little chicken farm — but what truly caught my attention was the heart behind it.

Two young men, Nick and Medad, saw an opportunity to create something sustainable in their own community. The farm is built with love, resourcefulness, and an incredible entrepreneurial spirit. These two had a dream to build a self-sustaining business that would not only support themselves, but also provide fresh, healthy eggs to the local community and lodge owners in the area.
With the little savings they had, they built a coop, studied poultry farming, and traveled all the long journey to Uganda’s capital city to buy their first 500 hatchlings. They returned home and created a humane, free-range setup that allows their chickens to thrive.
But now, they need our help.
Until the chicks grow big enough to begin laying eggs and generating income, these dedicated farmers are running low on funds to buy feed.

Here's how you can help:
$16 provides a 20kg bag of starter feed
$38 provides a 50kg bag of starter feed
Any amount helps these young men stay afloat while their flock grows strong
Your donation goes directly toward purchasing feed and supporting the success of this remarkable small business. You’re not just feeding chickens — you're fueling hope, empowerment, and economic independence for two hardworking young men and their entire community.

Let’s come together to keep their dream alive.
Donate today and be a part of something truly meaningful.
